Well water at home in Darlington

NET-OP-CO installed a water treatment system that solved numerous well water problems existing in a large home near Darlington, SC. The following were the lab results of the well water: pH = 6.0, Color = 10, Turbidity = 5 NTU, Iron = 0.75 mg/L, Sulfur = strong odor,

Lead = 149 ppb in kitchen sink.

Total Coliform bacteria test was negative but had been an issue several years ago. The pH had to be raised to over 7.5 to reduce the well water's corrosiveness, eliminating leachable lead. A MacClean Iron and Sulfur treatment system was chosen, because it raises pH and effectively removes iron and sulfur. A Maytag Ultrafiltration system was then installed to remove any organics, very small particles, and any future bacteria or viruses. The customized system is producing very clear, clean, and odor-free drinking water. The following were the final lab results: pH = 8.3, Color = <1, Turbidity = <1 NTU, Iron = <0.1 mg/L, Lead = <1 ppb in kitchen sink.
